Book Week Celebrations
As part of our Book Week celebrations in Week 7, we will be holding a PJ Reading Hour and a whole school Book Week Parade. We are looking forward to the opportunity to celebrate books and the wonder of reading together.
We will have our Book Week Parade on Monday August the 19th, beginning at 8:45 am. Weather permitting, the parade will take place on the oval. The parade will be followed by ‘Books on Blankets’, an opportunity to celebrate the beginning of Book Week by having the whole school read together. Bring along a blanket and some favourite books to share.
Children are welcome to dress as their favourite book character, or something related to the Book Week theme, which is Reading is magic. The following sites may be helpful for costume inspiration:
The PJ Reading Hour will be in the library on Wednesday, August the 21st from 6 – 7pm. This will also be a celebration of Australian School Library Day, a day that celebrates and highlights the importance of school libraries. The PJ Reading Hour is a time for our children to bring along a family member and enjoy spending some time together reading. Come along for some, or all, of the hour. Bring some pillows and blankets, find a special spot in the library and snuggle in for a read!
Return Library Books
Please return any Library Books that were borrowed for holiday reading or are outstanding from last year. If you are unsure if your child has any outstanding loans, feel free to pop into the library or contact library staff. If you are confident an overdue item has been returned, please check with us in case an item never made it out of the library or has been returned from elsewhere within the school.
All overdue items will be added to your school account. If you know a resource is definitely lost, please notify our library staff so that they can remove that item from your child's account and notify the office to invoice with fees next year.

Book Fair News
Thank you so much to everyone who supported the school and purchased some books through the Scholastic Book Fair. We sold just over $7,000 worth over the course of the fair, which is a phenomenal effort. The school community will benefit from the Scholastic Rewards points earned and we are very appreciative. Thank you!

PJ Reading Hour
As part of our Book Week celebrations and to mark Australian School Library Day we had a Pyjama Reading Hour on Wednesday August 24th. Thank you to all the families who braved the cold to come to the library in their PJs and enjoy some books together. It was a lovely way to share the joy of reading.
