Mater Dei’s Mystery Masterpieces

What if you could create a piece of art and sell it without the buyer knowing who made it?

What if you could buy a piece of art without knowing who the artist was??

What if you could take home a beautiful piece of art and make a donation to the school all in one go?

You’ll never guess what….at the 2025 Family Fun Day, you can!!

What is the Mater Dei Mystery Masterpieces?

The Mater Dei Mystery Masterpieces is an opportunity for all the Mater Dei Community to create a piece of art to donate for sale at the Family Fun Day.

Just take home a blank card to make a piece of art.  Return it to school by the due date for display at the art show where people can buy it.

BUT the mystery is that nobody knows who the artist is until they have bought and collected the piece!

You can paint, draw, print, collage, whatever you like on the page.

AND if you have a brother, sister, mum or dad, aunt, uncle, grandma or anyone else who likes to create and would like to donate a piece to our fundraiser, we’d love their art too!

Every piece of art will go on display and be for sale for $20.  All money from the sales goes back to Mater Dei!

How do you get involved?

Just collect one of the Mater Dei Mystery Masterpiece Cards from the school office, create your artwork and return it to school by Friday 17th  October. Remember to fill in your details on the back of the card but don’t sign your artwork on the front!

Now go and get creative!! We can’t wait to see what you mysteriously make!

Hi parents and carers,

I would just like to thank you for supporting the clothing pool during the change over from summer to winter. We are still happy to receive donations in a clean and wearable condition. If students grow over the next term we have a great range of second-hand summer uniforms. We also have hoodies and softshell jackets in all sizes.

Thank you, Judy

Mater Dei Spring Fair 2023

Thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered at our recent Spring Fair.  There were a lot of happy children due to your efforts!  School Fairs are complex things to organise with so many moving parts and we appreciate anyone who was able to help make our fair a success.  A special thanks goes to Amy Dampney, George Carroll and Lyn Wegner for their efforts in coordinating the entire fair!!

As we review our recent Fair we are asking the Mater Dei parent body for feedback.  Is there something you would like to see at our fair? Or is there something that you think could be done differently, then we want to know.  Could any feedback please be sent to MATPandF@twb.catholic.edu.au

The aim of our school Fair is for a family fun day.  If you have any suggestions for an alternative event then please also email us your suggestions.

Looking forward to 2024 our main parent event will be “The Long Lunch”.  The date has been set but we are on the hunt for a coordinator.  If you would like to play a part in coordinating this event please register your interest by emailing MATPandF@twb.catholic.edu
